About Mike
Originally from Wellington, New Zealand, Mike has been coaching in the Auckland area for the last 25 years, seven at the Remuera Golf Club and for the last 18 years at the Royal Auckland Golf Club. Mike turned pro in 1972 and played tournament golf in New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific, the United States and Canada until 1984 with noteworthy success winning a number of Pro-Ams and setting 12 course records along the way. The most recent being a round of 67 at Kauri Cliffs in Northland.

Since becoming a teaching professional Mike has become one of Auckland's most respected teaching golf coaches employing the very latest in computer aided teaching tools, such as the V1 Swing Digital Analysis System.

Mike's golf coaching has seen him take schools in Australia, the Pacific and the United States. As the resident Professional at the Royal Auckland Golf Club his expertise is available by appointment at the Royal Auckland Golf Club where he gives private lessons, runs golf schools, junior holiday development programs and personalised programs for players of all skill levels. When he is not coaching Mike also takes golf tours to many of the world's greatest golfing locations. His more recent trips include Ireland, Scotland, and the West Coast of the United States playing at many of the world’s top 100 courses.
